The simple filters provided in WC (hum, hiss, rumble etc) are a very good quick fix but if it requires more then the graphic filter is very difficult to use where I am used to a parametric or graphic eq. I find myself using my 1/3 octave graphic to get the sound right on the fly and then laboriously transcribing the settings into the WC graphic
a) What is needed is not something that is applied to the waveform overall, a very slow process even with a fast processor, but an inline DSP that processes the sound stream before playback and encoding.
b) Rather than ask you to code various processors for different people's fickle tastes and requirements how about supporting a plug-in interface to exploit the numerous existing plug-ins for Audacity/LADSPA/Nyquist/VST systems. _________________ Cheers,
