Hi all. It may be my imagination, but having started a 70 LP project I decided to defragment my pc after recording each wave file (about 50 to 60 minutes in length) and am convinced WC handles the files much faster (especially when opening wave files and initial click processing) when they have been defragmented . I don't know if it is the computer processing files faster or WC being able to access the files faster or a combination. I use a freeware defragger called Diskeeper Lite and defrag several times a day. If you defrag often, it only takes a couple of minutes. I would be interested if anyone else notices an improvement in processing speed.
Stan
